Fury Warrior guide

Melee DPSWarrior · WoW Forever

Beta guide, level 30. The WoW Forever beta stops at level 30, so this guide and its build cover levels 1 to 30. We update it for level 60 after launch on November 4.

Fury wields two weapons and turns crits into speed and Rage. It is the warrior spec most raids want. Forever adds Furious Precision (+10% off-hand hit chance), which takes the sting out of dual wield misses, and Gore Drinker, which heals you a little after Enrage, Bloodrage, Death Wish or Bloodthirst.

Strengths

  • The strongest warrior damage once gear catches up
  • Furious Precision makes dual wielding miss far less in Forever
  • Fast attacks mean steady Rage and lots of crits

Weaknesses

  • Needs two good weapons and plenty of hit gear
  • Death Wish makes you take 5% more damage
  • Very gear dependent: weak early, great later

Stats

No simulations for Forever yet. Hit first: dual wield misses a lot, even with Furious Precision. Then Strength/Attack Power and crit.

Best races

Alliance

Human
Ruthless: +1% crit, always on.
Gnome
Eureka!: abilities cost 10% less and deal 10% more for 8 sec, plus 5% more Rage.
Night Elf
Elune's Light: +10% crit for 15 sec.

Horde

Orc
Blood Fury: an Attack Power burst for 15 sec.
Troll
Berserking: +10% attack speed, which means more Rage and procs.
Undead
Touch of the Grave drains health on hits, and Will of the Forsaken breaks fear.

Professions

Blacksmithing or Engineering, with Mining. Herbalism plus Alchemy if you want your own potions for raids.

Leveling

Fury levels fine at 30 with two decent weapons, but it is hungrier for gear than Arms. If your weapons are weak, level as Arms and switch for dungeons and raids.
